New cache in serps, but old title in domain.com search

Sorry about the vague title - hard to encapsulate this...

All instances of my site show up in google serps with new title, new descriptions, etc and cache is recent too. However, when I type "widgets.com" in google search box, the only result that comes up is really old title.

I was told until this domain search shows my new title, google won't rank me according to my new site content. Is this true? If not, why doesn't my new site title show when I do the domain search?

None of my internal pages show in serps or www.widgets.com search (Sim Spider crawled my site successfully) - is this a factor somehow? Anyone know where are my internal pages could be - they've been up for a long long time now?

Do a site search on "everflux". In between major updates, there basically is "stuff" that happens. It's a combination of many factors. Search results or rankings are not always predicatable between updates.

So does that mean Google hasn't updated from the end of October crawl? When is the update expected to be done and and thus the Serps settled down? (It seems kinda late this time right?)

Hopefully when the update is done, all my old stuff will be gone and maybe Google will rank me using my new site :)

It's not late. It would seem later than usual if it hasn't updated by December 1, but it can't really be late as there's no published schedule.
