Value of a link if it is in a frame

Same value as a normal link?

I'm probably phrasing this all wrong. I exchanged links with a PR6 site the other day (i am PR4) and when i was checking my link at his site, the dirty rat is using full page frames, so that ALL links from his site keep his URL at the top.

The first thing i did was install a frame breaker at my site, which seems to be working fine.

My questions are these. Is this a valuable link to me, if it keeps my site in a frame? Do i lose link value by breaking out of the frame? Generally speaking, how do frames like this affect the valued of links and Pagerank? Please keep in mind that i am not an expert.

There should be no difference in counting that link. For Google it is not important if the link is opened in a frameset or not.
You won't loose link value by breaking out of the frame.

You're not losing aynthing on Google, but the visitors might get anoyed by him using frames that way. And it's the users that really count...

A navigation window may be composed by several frames, each frame showing a page with a different PR (the browser will show only the PR of the parent window).
To know the PageRank of the page on which your backlink is, do the following: right click the frame which contains your link; click on Properties; a window will open with, among other propertires, the URL of the page; copy and paste that URL in the address bar; press Enter, the page will open out of frames, you will see the Page Rank of that page which contains your link, which is all that matters to you (the PR of the other pages in the other frames won´t benefit you).

To be quite honest, i am not too worried about my pagerank. My site has great content and i have been moving up the SERPs nicely.

I am just wondering if Google is able to recognize the link and credit it to me, and if the frame breaker (javascript) on my site interferes in any way with that process. The "source" on the linking site does not look like normal html to me. There's hardly anything there at all.

I've posted the URL of the page that links to me in my profile. (i hope that still works) If you look at the source, you'll see what i mean. Every page on his site shows the exact same html, and the URL in the address bar never changes, no matter where you navigate in there.
