Hello
Were having our annual pray for snow party so I decided to use last years page with some modifications to get the word out. Unfortunately, my modifications didn't include removing the noindex, nofollow tag that i added after the party last year. The day after I uploaded the page Gbody came by and crawled all the pages including the new one. I couldn't understand why Google indexed the link to it but not the new page. Anyway, now I've removed the tag and uploaded the page but Gbody ignores it. She is still grabbing the rest of the pages including the page linking to the new page, which I modified again just to be sure. Does anyone know if I've turned her against the page for the month? The party is only two weeks away so I guess my best bet would be to upload the under a different url. Any ideas.

Hah!

Finally, a useful purpose for Google's "Submit your page" form. :)

Couldn't hurt to try, but it is a bit late.

Adding a link on one of the pages that is getting crawled that points to a new copy of the announcement page at a new URL sounds like a good plan. Then, submit it (once) to Google, and see if the 'bot crawls it.

Good luck!
Jim

I renamed the page and submitted the new url last night about 10 pst. Gbody came and got 7 pages but not the new one even though it grabbed the page with the new link. I'll keep patiently sitting here watching my logs grow.;)

Well it was crawled at 3:30 am pst. We'll see how long it takes to show up. It appears the crawl was part of the regular cycle rather than a result of the submit url thing as it was one of the last pages crawled by the paricular spider
