Strange Phenominen with Cached Pages

I have had a page cached in google yesterday.

When searching for "widgets keyword-a keyword-b" my listing is shown with a high ranking with "cached 12-nov" displayed.

When searching for "widgets keyword-a" my original listing is shown with no "cached 12-nov" and a lowly listing.

The changes made to the cached version would without a doubt have helped the ranking in both search terms.

Both listings are pointing to [www-mydomain.com...]

Can anyone explain this?

We've kinda beat the everflux horse here lately. It is classic Everflux (site search on "everflux faq").

The second keyword was getting a different data center/db than the first.

I realised it was everflux ;) but I didn't realise that different keyword searches went to different data centers. Thats interesting!
