I recently migrated from widgetsX.com to widgets.com unfortunately the google directory has my old site's link in their directory.

Google recognizes that I have changed domains and my PR has transferred to the new domain. But since my site's old link is in the google directory I think it would be a good idea for them to give my old link the same PR as my new one so that I can correctly rank in the directory since it defaults to listings in PR rank.

Anyone agree with me?

skirope,

Google's directory comes from the ODP. If you update your ODP listing, then Google's directory will follow after a month's delay (or more), and so will the PR displayed in the directory.

Yeah, but in instances where the ODP takes forever to change your domain it should be helpful...

It has been almost 2 months since I requested a domain change in my ODP listing but they haven't changed it yet...

Hey, I've been waiting a year, so wait your turn in line. :-)

A year?!

Anyone know what the *average* is?

This can be high variable depending on where in the ODP the site is listed. If in some non-commercial cat that gets few submissions ever and an attentive editor, likely it'll be changed in a week. However, a some heavily spammed commercial cat it can take many, many months for anything to be done.

Plus some areas don't even have an editor so they won't get looked at until someone else volunteers. Maybe the solution is to apply at the next most fitting catagory.
