GoogleBot asking for error document?

Hi,
Does anyone know what this means? Was the bot after this document? not_found.html What might cause it to look for this? This happened about 12 hours ago - and the bot hasnt been for days before that!

First welcome to the board. It could be any number of things.

How familar are you with your server? Could that be the default error doc? Is that the only instance of that file being requested?

Google the phrase "/error_docs/not_found.html" for some insight. Seems to be a fairly common occurance on numerous servers.

Looks like it was after another page, couldn't find it, and your server's default 404 page was displayed.

Weird, though, because on my logs, the page it requested appears after the 404 entry page URL...the index page of your site didn't have any problems did it?

If your logs are split up into "access" and "error" logs, you can d/l the error log and look at it too and see if you can figure out what it was after.
