PR0 - but 1# in results?

my sites don't show any backlinks at the moment (I added them in early september) and the pagerank is 0 since the dance has begun! but still on certain keywords I have the first position out of some thousands of results, the highest being 98,500!

can someone explain why?

Did you buy an expired domain?
Is the PR bar grey or white?
When you hover the bar, what do read?

You page targets that search phrase better, using googles search algo, than the rest of the sites. With no page rank I would think it targets them considerably. I think you nailed the algo for those terms.

1) the bar is white (it says 0/10), but during the dance it was sometimes grey, at the moment it is stable at 0
2) the site is new
3) and the domain is 3 months old

0 probably because you have not enough external links index that can give you a 1.

haha, I just found 2 keywords where I get 173,000 results and I am on 2ND PLACE! - and I am still on PR0.

my conclusion--> pagerank is absolutely unnecessary
