i'm in a very bed situation, i have made several quite nice sites and submitted to google , but they didn't appear in the index . Now i think that it will be good if i get links from different sites (which are already listed in google). do you know any place where i can exchange links?
or is it allowed here in this forum to offer my sites for linkexchange?

Dear Friends Please Help Me :)
I hope On your kindness,
Noximus

Look for directories, start with DMOZ. But there are many directories out there specializing in the subject of each of your sites. Get them thet listed there. Stay away from link-farms or anything set up only for the purpose of increasing linkpopularity or PR. (There are many threads on this topic in this forum.)

i submitted my sites to dmoz.org but i'm not sure they will add me to their index. i'd like to have several quality incoming links , where can i find people who want the same and are registered in google index?

Hi Noximus

I think what instand1 was suggesting was not to look for short cuts for getting reciprocal links. In effect you are breaking one of google's rules which says you should not engage in any activities soley designed to increase popularity or Page Rank.

I agree with him. go to the directory in dmoz where you submitted your site, and go down the list one by one, see if they are likelt to say yes to reciprocal linking and if they are "on the level"), write down the site email and name something about the site. Then write to them all telling them about your site and requesting a recirocal link.

The next day do the same thing for otehr related directory listings, then the same for yahoo directories.

Then the next day (or week) type you keywords into Google and do the same thing for the top 30 returns, and especially if they have a good page rank already.

Welcome Noximus

Those link will get snipped BUT as long as your bring it up:

An editor will read the index page and wonder what you are selling? Try to keep it focused.

Google will spider and read EVERYTHING on the page and wonder about the focus.

If you are selling books - sell books - imho

non-competing sites in the same sector seem to be good prospects. for example a website promoting mobile phones for the american market may not find a website promoting mobile phones in the uk a competitor.

i often email american sites saying that i often get a lot of american visitors and feel that a reciprocal link would benefit both of our sites.

also i seem to remember someone posting that a search for:

gossamer <keyword>

on google often throws up likely candidates for reciprocal linking. (gossamer threads is a link management tool)

just a couple of ideas!

Dont forget that some websites contain nothing more than affiliate links.I don think that these are that highly rated in the serps.

Noximus, Ignore what i said earlier. You are right, it will be almost impossible to get reciprocal links, especially as you dont have a good PR already.

Sorry to be negative but you would have to..

1. Pay for listings (iid say quite expensive)

2. Come up with an original concept that will make your site DIFFERENT from others. Im not convinced the fact that is an affiliate site is your main problem.. that would be secondary. The key is to get some real original content, create a script that really does compare prices or something useful and whizzbangy for your guests

3. Apart from that spamming is your only option!

When we are approached regarding link trades we ask some of the following questions:

Does the site have a focused theme that complements our theme?
Is it a content rich site that directory editors have blessed with a "good" listing?
Will linking to the site get us in trouble down the road?
Does the site use 1998/1999 tricks?
Is he/she building a possible "bad neighborhood?
Is the risk worth the reward?
Do we know the site owner?

You'll be amazed with what you find with a simple:
"Your topic" submit site search

try
your topic add url

as well.....these will help you find the directories in your area...
simple yet very effective....

not my idea, but i was glad someone passed it on to me,
so i thought i'd return the favor;)
