Drkdragon welcome to WebmasterWorld!

There are many answers to your questions. Please take a moment and do a search for PR0 and New Domains.

I do not think you have a penalty, but that's just a guess based on limited information you have given.

Again, welcome!

You need to take a good look at your logs. Has the lady been by lately. Is she just touching you or taking a deep crawl. You should have seen some activity the past week - i got deep crawled last night and she's a nosey devil on my site - but some devils i like.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, drkdragon.

If you only got the domain name in the last month or so, it's much too soon - it's a brand new site. Google's probably just gotten hold of your site, and if you mean the toolbar PR is all white, that's nothing unusual for a new site. It sounds like you're in the index, but just haven't accrued enough Page Rank yet.

Please don't panic, just get some quality inbound links prior to the next big crawl at the end of the month, and wait until you see how you're doing at the time of the following regular update at the end of December.

Count anything before then as a bonus. Meantime, relax, dig in reading here at the board and continue to work on your site.

Hi Guys:)

I'm a newbie too and glad someone turned me on to this extremly useful site. I've been curious of the inbound links and wonder if these types are seen by the google gods. I moderate and participate in many online flooring forums, have been doing so for five years now.

In several of them I have auto links that show my url in the message text area. Would this be considered an inbound link? How about other links in the text area? For example if I see a poster wanting information about bamboo flooring I try my best to provide the infromation they need while also including a direct link to my page on bamboo information.

Thanks for any replies...Keep up the great work!
