Random Quotes on Homepage

Will this cause problems?

A client has asked for random quotes to be added to his homepage - they'll change with every refresh. Each quote will be up to 300 words, with very little other content on the home page. The page will be ASP with the random quotes drawn from a database. There will be some 700 quotes to choose from.

Does anyone know if this will cause any problems with Google? I'm not worried about overall ranking ( or PR ) but I am slightly concerned that Googlebot will see something different with every visit and may decide not to list the home page or something.

I've got a random quote on the home page in my profile. No problems with Google. In fact each month my ranking gets better and better.

The problem comes if you rely on Gooogle merging your duplicates.

For example, if you have links to www.example.com, www.example.com/index.php and example.com and if those addresses all return your content, then the random quote may get them listed separately (so the PageRank will no longer be combined).

This isn't a problem if example.com redirects to www.example.com
