So I'm polishing this new web site. The date is Oct 17th 2002.
I'm hurrying to submit to G before the next crawl. I get a hunch on the 18th to have a look at G and sure enough, my site had been picked up (started to crawl early?) through some back links. The problem, not the final/optimized home page got picked up. So I polish the home page, submit to G (thinking that maybe they re-crawl new sites and/or newly submitted sites at tbe end of the crawl.
[Note: on that first apparition on Google, there was no page rank or backlinks listed for my site]

A few days later, my site is nowhere to be found! Vanished completely from Google and it's still not there. When searching for my site's name, I get top hits from the 3-4 sites with backlinks (the ones that Google has re-indexed on the last crawl I guess because there are more than that).

So WHAT HAPPENED?

The only things I could think of were that I had added a listing on the "search king" search engine OR that I had a momentary (we're talking 12 hours) home page with approx 40 instance of the keyword "rosaries" where today we only have 14. WebPos Gold quickly told me to take that off which I did.

Any ideas what may have happenned, how I could find out and how I'll get that listing back.

Many thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

Your site was added momentarily to Google.

Do a site search on "everflux". It's normal.

If you are not in within 60days of the last update (check the update chart), then you have a problem. If not, kick back and build content until it's picked up.
