Same thing with some of my sites since about 3 months.
I really can't imagine why.

link: only shows backlinks from pages with a PR of 4 or greater. Could this be why?

So, are your backlinks pr4 or higher? No guarantee on the exact measurement, but Google only shows higher pr links. Does not mean the other links are not taken into account though.

Yes the strange thing is, my other client site has a PR5 with less backlinks, but they do show on google.

My site, only has a Pr3 dropped from Pr5 :( and has no links showing, but i know there are more links (a quality ones) than my client site.

Strange, and im puzzled and fed up :(

Wait until the dance is over. This may be temporary. Also, unless your PR has fallen, it is possible those backlinks were counted for your PR, and just the link: command is buggy.

I only have a Pr3, it was Pr5 a few months ago.

Why would this have gone down, i still have the same amount of incomming links as before?

At the moment the only method to see how many links you have is: "www.yoursite.com"
Then all sites are showing up on which this phrase is mentioned. But of course not so reliable as link:yourpage.com
