I'm in the same boat as you...as I'm on a Mac and can't access the toolbar.

The best way I've found to do it is limited, but can still work.

Go to the Google Directory and look for the site in question. From there, you'll see a green bar listed next to the site title...you can usually use this the same way you would the bar in the toolbar.

Now...if it's a new site or not listed in dmoz...well...you're kind of out of luck.

The Googlebar project is creating support for the Google Toolbar in Netscape 7/Mozilla -- [googlebar.mozdev.org...] .

I think this project still doesn't include the PageRank feature...

thejenn, you wouldn't believe it but i installed a pc just for the toolbar usage. I connect from my mac via timbuktu, do my checks and disconnect again. This way i don't even have to touch the win$ box. ;)

However, i would love to have the toolbar for mac. GG, this is a feature request! ;)

LOL! I had someone suggest I buy Virtual PC JUST so that I could use the toolbar.

No thanks.

Besides, I have access to a PC at home...I just use a Mac at work...and I don't get THAT hyped up over PR. Do everything else right and that falls into place on its own...

thejenn, i forgot to mention that i check pr only once a month ... not that big hype ... and yes, the win$ box now also runs a client's server "in background". Sorry for beeing somehow inaccurate - my hype is more mac than pr. ;)
