Serious Promblems with Google Sponsored Listings

Google tech team are working Night and Day

No this is not an excuse for the update.

However any one running sponsored listings may have noticed that all hell has broken loose with campaigns.

apparently a new ad serving system has not been tuned properly, and Incorrect listings are showing.

Especially Country Targeting, these seem to be replaced with Global (usa) buyers.

I am assured that every techie at Google is working on the solution (maybe NO update) and that things should be back to normal very soon.

This is actually VERY depressing, as Google sponsored listings account for quite a bit of our traffic :)

Yeah, I think something is broken there as well. I have one campaign with a $10 per day limit and yesterday it went through $23.10. No word back from them yet as to why.

I was actually referring to Premium Listings (nothern banner) which are dealt with by Google Account Managers.

They have been very helpful by keeping me in the picture all day long.

Let me ask about it and see what I can find out.

I was in Switzerland two days ago and noticed my adwords were showing up over there on the Swiss-Google. I just assumed that Google had spidered my brain-waves and knew where I was traveling to.

Shakil - same here. Our listing is GONE.

Well, on the bright side, I can query google as many times as I want to check for the update without paying for any impressions :)

Or perhaps not. Maybe we are still paying? When did you notice the problem? I am going to write in for a refund.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, Shakil was talking about the premium ads (the ones at the top, not the AdWords at the side.)

Yup. Our ad is gone and it has been replaced by the top ad from the Adwords section

google support just emailed me back confirming that they are having problems with their adwords system (ads on the side). I have no idea about the premium problems.

Spoke with my Google Rep earlier today. He mentioned that they have consolidated internal management of Adwords and Premium Listings into a single system. This happened Sunday. Since then they have been fighting fires. Reps have been in training and on calls, in case you've had trouble raising anyone (as I have).

One of the problems he mentioned is with "overlapping" campaigns, where the same keywords are running in both Premium and Adwords. They have these campaigns set so that Adwords display where Premium is not distributed and vice versa. Or at least "had" it set up that way. That is one of the things they are working to resolve.

Also had a premium campaign that was supposed to renew today that seems to have disappeared.

The info I just got is the same. Since the weekend! I can't believe it. No wonder it's quiet!

They offer no clues about when the problems will be corrected either.

Google has not been in my good books recently :(

Latest Update is that the Problem is still there regarding Sponsored Listings, can not comment about Adwords.

The problem seems very specific to Sponsored listings at Number 2 position (number 1 positions are fine)

Looks like Monday before things will improve :(
