sad but true.
what do I have to do to prevent this? set up a robots.txt within the root directory? how long will this take to have effect on my site? I cannot wait months, I might even loose my job :( GoogleGuy, can you take a look at this? Would it take you long to delete a domain from the index? I'm quite desperate ... they did not find it out but might do because the serps come up at the first page :( ahhhhh.

They can yank a site out of the index in mere hours.
add password protection and tell your boss that it's for their own good - if it's that serious and shouldn't be in the search engines, then restrict access to it. your boss will be impressed by your foresight and knowledge.
blame someone else (preferably a competitor) and tell your boss how lucky he is to have someone as alert as you working there. your boss will be shocked when you produce the (fake) web page showing the (fake) link that "was probably set up by a competitor", but will also be impressed at your knowledge and investigative skills. you might even get a pay rise.

sly? yes, but fully justified. if you own up to a big mistake, you'll probably be looking for a new job. if you try and bluff it, you could get away with it, but if not, it's no worse than if you own up!
am i a project manager? no, but i used to be an employee and learnt the fine art of impressing the boss - it begins with bull and ends with s**t :)
do i want a job? hmmm.... best to say thanks beachboy, but no ... you'd know if i was bluffing and i'd only need to bluff once to lose all credibility i have left (which isn't much) ....
any luck getting the site removed foy? i'm tempted to try getting all my competitors removed one by one so that i'm top for every search term ....
in order to get a site removed, you have to
put a robots.txt in there and then ask the console
to run the removal... it takes between 4 to 12 hours based on my former runs...
the bad thing is: the domains stays out of google for at least 2 month... (learned by testing :-)
