Does having the same ip address for many websites kill your link populairty chance if they all link together?

If you mean cross linking between different sites which is on the same domain, i would say do it carefully and don't try to do it only for link popularity because that will probably not end up well, and don't cross link them if they have completly seperate content.

If you mean that the same sites are co-located on the asme server and they share the same IP address then that wouldnt cause to much of a problem.

Just so longs as the pages are on the same topic.

Until lately I have had several websites on one single domain. (Some of them are now being moved to 2 new domains.) I have had lots of cross linking, and it apparently never has hindered me from having good rankings on my central keywords. But of course all the links have been quite natural and never made for the sake of link popularity.
