Send me a sticky of the sites and I'll see why not.

Don't even bother submitting to google. if you have incoming links they will find you. If you don't they will ignore you no matter how often you submit.

As for the timing, there hasn't been an update yet for stuff added in September. The deep crawl for the next update was in early September, and the update was September 26. The deep crawl for this update was in early October and the update will be in the next few days,

Hope you had some links by early October.

I second that Sasquatch.
I was just typing out a post that would have duplicated yours.

Thanks Sasquatch.

We just published a small site for clients with a few backlinks from some of our sites when would it be added to the google index.

If you just published it you might show up for a couple of days in one of the fresh listings, but do not expect to show up till the end of November and do not expect your deeper pages to show up till the end of December.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, northweb. A lot depends on the spidering cycle. Your existing site must get spidered (actually, the page with the link to the new site must get spidered), and then Googlebot must decide when to visit the new site. Depending on the PR of the main site, and how lucky you are, it could be anything from a few days after getting the link up to a month or two.

Keep trying to get additional legitimate links to the new site - that will help it get spidered faster and, perhaps, deeper (by increasing the site's PR).
