expect google to update cache?

My site's google cache is from August 29th, so it's preety stale and I've optimized my newer site for new keywords. Can I expect google's cache to be updated in this months update? Or is it just gonna go stale until google "feels" it should be updated?

I would expect the next update to replace your page in Google's cache. Some pages get their cache updated often (those with high PageRank, or an entry in Yahoo! or the Open Directory).

According to the Google Update History [webmasterworld.com], August 29 was in the last cycle. Assuming that your PageRank is similar, I'd expect you to get a new cache from the end of September of the beginning of October.
