Everflux and upcoming update

Interesting conclusion I made...

My pages have been updated daily within the last weeks due to the everflux phenomena but since the 22nd nothing happened. Is this an indication of the upcoming dance? Because I observed the same behaviour last month although the everflux was a lil bit different then it is now.

Same with me - crawled every few days (probably due to lower PR) but stopped on 15 Oct...I think this is standard pre-update

I don't think so. I saw the Everflux update the last days too. And the Freshbot was on my sites every day this month.

I have sort of noticed this too, I normally get daily updates, but nothing since October 22nd. I notice the BBC is still on 22nd so I am not in bad company!

Over the last five months there seems to have been a pause in freshness either just before or just after the update, I think it is at twice before and thrice after.

To be honest I don't think there is a great deal to conclude from it. :(

No false alarms, boys! I'm getting continuously crawled ... no pause longer than a couple of hours ... last crawl was just this morning, 25.11. 11:46 eet+2!

My sites were all deep crawled on the 16th of this month. I had every page pulled and inspected by the googlebot.

Now I may got the odd look in just to have a quick gander at the robotos.txt file but thats it.

Yeah, I still get hundreds of pages crawled every day but nothing new showing in the google database.

<added>I'm not claiming that this means we are about to get an update! It is merely an observation</added>

Not sure we can draw any conclusions. Get freshbot daily. Visited just this morning at [25/Oct/2002:01:51:10 -0400].

I've had a site that seemed to change positions every day (between #5 and #15 for a particular key word) but the last couple of days it seems to have stopped moving around... Good for me because it happened to stop at the #5 position and I'm getting tons of Google traffic.

I'm not talking about crawls, guys. I too get crawled daily. I'm referring to the updates within the index. You know that date showing up on SERPs in green letters. There wasn't any since the 22nd though it was there before daily. I thought that this may be an indication of an upcoming dance ahead.

The "dates" on my freshed pages have vanished and my "date stamp" for my cached pages have nothing newer than 10/21, so yup, I'm seeing the same kind of thing you guys are. (Interestingly, though nothing to do with this topic really: when google fresh dates a page, it's always actually a day older than the google stamp shows).

Ah yes, interesting point. As far as my sites are concerned the Google fresh timestamp is always the same as my site which is run on GMT/UTC.

It only makes sense that as things get closer to an update and we are getting closer even if we aren't there yet, that more systems would be switched from doing fresh crawls and fresh updates to working on the big monthly update.

I see. My "Google fresh" dates have vanished as well. It looks like all dates have vanished for that matter. Get ready:)

Last fresh was on 24/Oct/2002:02:41:04 -0500.

I also did noticed that last month the re-freshes stopped for a while before the update but the last day have no updates is 19.

I believe the last Fresh for my sites was the 23rd.
