Please relieve my worries

Well, after all the research ive been doing on building recip links... I had passed this onto my partner. Now unknown to me he decided to signup for linkstoyou (idiot). I found out today and immediatly removed the link. He says he added it around the 9th of October. Now, My google position on "keyword1-keyword2-keyword3" was at around 200 in google (I know but early days) after finding out what my fool partner did I decided to check the same search... guess what! We are not in the SERPS for that search. Have we been penalised during the EVERFLUX? I am a little worred. I have the following concerns:

1) I have removed the link but obviously people who have joined between the 9th and now will have our link. Will this be a problem?

2) Our site is still in google. Maybe the Everflux screwed us somehow and its unrelated to the fools adding us to linkstoyou (idiot).

3) If this was caused by the idiot signing us up to linkstoyou will me removing the link be ok or should I be worried.

I have finally got into DMOZ after a long time trying so I would hate this to be a major screw up after all the genuine links building and optimising i have been doing.

Please say it will be OK... pleeeeaaaaz :(

What is your PR? What was it before?

My Page Rank settled at 4 after the last dance and has remained at 4 since then. Like I said, he only signed up to linkstoyou on the 9th Oct 2002. The link to the linkstoyou stuff is in the google results returned for searches so it has made it into google during eveflux (to my dismay). Just need input on how this will affect me having this link from the 9th to the 24th and if it will have any long lasting effects and if its the cause of the lost SERPS for "keyword1-keyword2-keyword3".

You didn't link to them in any way? I think you should be alright if the didn't but unfortunately all you can do is wait and see...

I think that if you only had the link up from the 9th of October then you will be fine and will not have picked up any penalty from google, but the only way to know for sure is to see your PR after the next update (anytime soon)

I would be very suprised if you got penalised.

Nope! the only way it could have affected your positon, was if you received a penalty from google (where they reduce your sites PR).

I really think that the chances of picking up a penalty are very slim but you will know for sure in a few more days.
