updating web pages before update

is it safe to update now while being crawled?........

If googlebot is crawling your site and you update some pages, will googlebot be throw from your site with the new pages coming in or is it o.k. to update pages when your being crawled?

Google loves to crawl and read new pages. I would get them up as quick as you can though. Deep crawls are taking place as we speak, and the big update is only days away.. or even minutes away :)

Yeh that should be fine.

I suspect that google treats updated pages in the same way as new pages.

Its all new content! ;)

Yep, if its the same page ith just different content then Google will crawl the page just the same.

It will also crawl if it can tell the page has just been modified, if your server sends the date when the page was last modified, then Google will crawl the the page.
