Hey,

I know alot of programs are not google safe...

Is "addweb promotional tool" a safe thing to use?

Thanks,

Does it use any sort of automated querying?

If you’re using anything to submit/track/monitor you have to be very careful and IMO and not worth the risk of a ban

Okay, thanks guys...

How long of use is it before Google detects it?

I think it has been done a couple times already but it will CERTAINLY be discontinued now - I didn't know of these consequences and the risk is definetly not worth it.

I just hope it hasn't already screwed my site up. if you search for the title and the site pops up does that tell you that it is NOT blacklisted?

Thanks

I think the only "program" that is safe with Google is the Google SOAP API. Google has placed a limit on it's use, but you "can" do just about anything with it.

I've written several scripts in PERL using the Google API, including one that checks/searches the rankings for particular keywords. Does anyone see anything wrong with this?

Any comments GoogleGuy?
