Searching Yahoo and Google USA but getting World Results

These new search results from Yahoo mirroring exact Google Results are horrible. I mean I am searching Yahoo.com *usa* and I get nothing but hits displaying, co.uk, .nl, and other International sites. What happened to good old Yahoo results. I thought searching was suppose to be simple. What do I have to search for now? USA keyword1 keyword2, just to get my old results?

Anyone else having these problems? What do you have to say about this?

I think in terms of yahoo they are runing their .com as global.

Since when was Yahoo.com only for Americans? ;)

By the way if I check for Yahoo.nl I am redirected to Yahoo.com,
at least now I get some decent results.

what exactly is the status of the .com domain?

Today it is used world wide for COMercial sites.
just to clear this up for me. what is the oficial tld for the USA? .us?

Yes the official tld is .us for the United States. Yahoo is displaying some weird results regarding tld's.
