when i do a search on "keyword1 keyword2 keyword3" which is prominent in our home page title tag i have a strange result.

our 'holding' company is at nr. 1 and one of our clients nr. 3 with a page that is not relevant (frame set up page and in other business/topic than the keywords) but these pages were copy-pasted from our site, without modifying the source code (for that our html-editor will be penalized!).

our own homepage - which i suggest would come up first - isn't even showing within the first 1.000 result, while it's listed in DMOZ and Google and has exactly the same code before the body-tag.

Could it be the flash-movie (it's the only content on the page) that makes this happen.

i know flash is not good for optimization but this seems to be from a period before knewing at least some basics to influence ranking.

when i went to the end of the results and clicked the 'repeat the search with the omitted results included' link i did get our page on #1

life's full of surprises ...and so is google!

Google omits results that it finds to be near duplicate. If the client site and your site share the same code, Google has probably decided that they are too close to display them both. More than likely, the page with the highest PR is the one being displayed.
