Quick question, does Google have a Stock Symbol? I was just wondering about this, cause I imagine they make alot of money. With Adwords alone they made $100 off me the last few months, more then i spend on internet and hosting for my site! And i know there has to be many many different people that use Adwords. Was just curious about this. :o)

Thanks

Google is privately held. Some people spend thousands every month on Google. It would be nice stock to get if you could. Try Overture. They were down to $10 earlier this year, now they're up over $20.

Love the fast replies i get on this forum :) thanks pmac, mosley700...

I want Google! ;) I think this company can only grow and grow some more... Google is my homepage, use it every day, love the search engine, workin on gettin my sites main keyword towards the top :)

I think if you could get in on google stock now, it would be almost like gettin in on Microsoft in 1983 or something... Imagine that.... If we could turn back the clock 20 years, we would all go back, buy Microsoft stock and be millionaires now..... I'm looking for the next big "Microsoft" type thing. ;)

But if you knew Bill in 83 you would never have invested in his company.

For that matter, if you met him now, and didn't know who he was, you wouldn't invest in his company.

Aren't we all?
This has been discussed a lot of times here. Do a site search on 'google stock' or 'google IPO'. I'm a buyer. Even with a PR0 site in my hands.

I think the people at Google are smart enough that Google will never "fade" like a fad.... There's over 150 million searches daily right? And its the year 2002. Imagine where the internet will be just 3 years from now, in 2005... Theres no sign of the internet "going out of style" any time soon. ;) It's only growing larger, and more and more people are logging on to the internet every day.

And to quote the movie Meet the Parents: "Gotta strike while the irons hot" hehe

Google is not a public company. Yet.

Google is certainly "worthy" of a place on the stock market though right? I wonder how much there stock would sell for if they went to a "public company" right now.

I just read an article today entitled, "Google Grows Up" and in the last paragraph the author mentioned that Google is definitely planning an IPO but may be waiting for a healthier Wall Street.

No sources were quoted but the statement was made with no hedging.

PF, you tell me one time that companies improved by going public.. this means they are at the mercy and must answer to the stock holders.. everything is done to please the stock holders, which means profit profit profit... if they dont supercede their quotas their up the stream and they know that.. which means less raises and lower wages for employees.. and guess what that means to us!?

Digitalhost.. yes, I have heard alot of talk in the business papers of google going public.. although they deny they have any immediate plans.. you know they are!
