Last week the forums were discussing this problem. I would like to ask the community of Google users how they explain the appearance of "404 not found" high up in the Google ranking (2nd page)?
If the Google changes were supposed to improve relevance how can this be explained. I would like to hear from Google experts.
I am not a Google expert, but once you make a static link in a directory, ie:Google. Couldn't someone change the page or remove it before your next update. They could also switch the page for anything they wanted. This would account for finding pages that are not relevant or not finding the pages at all. This does not even take into account that someone might use cloaking to alter the pages.
