Hello all,

I have a client who wants to place the prize of his main product in the title of his site. I don't want to dilute the KW density in title (and much less after this update and the changes in the algo) so I am wondering if google would read the euro simbol "$" and "€". I think they should but I'm not sure because I've tried searching and it looks like if they woudln't.

thanks

My experience is they don't index special characters. When you search the symbol $ you get no results, so I'm pretty sure this is still the case. My impression from previous experiences is that they are treated as spaces.

It's a good moment to develope a patch to solve the problem with € and $ in title. Sometimes would be quite useful to be able to add these symbols (IMO it would be a save of words and, consistently, of bytes)
