GoogleBot chamging URL while craling

I found interesting thing.

Googlebot is changing URL's a bit while crawiling.
Very rare, may be 1 time per 200 links visited.

Say I had /affiliate/scheme.html
Google asked for /affiiate/scheme.html

I.e. dropped one letter.
On the other case it was one letter dropping as well.

It may be either
1) bug in algo (GG might be interested then)
2) feature to see if site using 'fake' URL to put keywords into URL.

Anyone noticed it?
