Howdy,

I've got a largish (15k+ pages) non-commercial web site with a PR5. For some reason - apparently since the last update - my incoming traffic from Google has more than doubled.

I've done some log analysis and it looks like the same range of search terms that I've always gotten traffic from (i.e., no particular new term has popped up). It seems a bit late to be seeing the back-to-school effect. Anyone else seeing this? Any idea as to why? (Any idea on how to keep it from stopping? :-)

There are a number of current threads discussing and speculating about algorithmic changes at Google that may or may not have happened with this update. Without a doubt some changes were made, and while your PageRank remained at least roughly the same your positioning in response to those queries probably improved. That is, apparently your site benefited from the recent changes; some others did not.

Any idea on how to keep it from stopping?

Not really... whatever changes they made this month that worked out well for you could just as easily be reversed or outweighed by the next thing(s) they change. On the other hand, the next changes might be even better for you...
