Hello,
I set-up <snip> a five word hyphenated .com about two years ago for my parents. We have enjoyed a number of 1st place positions for KWs related to them. About a year ago I set up <snip> a much shorter domain .net to URL redirect to <snip> the original .com site - the reason was the longer domain was a pain to read out over the phone.

In the update it appears they have dropped the longer domain and replaced it with the shorter one! which is a URL redirect... that totally confuses me because I thought google would just ignore the redirects...

Any thoughts on this?
