just did a check of my backlinks to one of my sites...it seems to me that no links from other sites that are using sub-domains are counting..anyone care to comment?

The generally agreed upon theory is that backlinks only show from pr4 pages and up. Most subdomains have a tough time meeting that criteria. It may also be something funky with the link command (we've all seen strange results from link: at times this year).

yep...the sites in question have pr5/6....i think it may simply be the sites in question being penalised for using reciprocal link software..i have now seen other sites with subdomains listed in backlinks.....what doesnt seem fair is that while it appears internal links are downgraded in importance..links from sub-domains to other sub-domains within the same main domain are still counting!
