Well from last two months, we been seeing some sites in top ten for some very good keywords which are nothing but a spam. It seems google doesn't seems to be taking note of it at all, even worse is this months update.

Recent observation on google in last two months that seems to work wonders:

-Doorway pages
-Keyword rich domains
-Hidden layers
-Hidden text
-Css controlled tags
-Hidden links
-Guest book links
-Repetitive title tags
-Doorway sub domains

Pls add more if I missed on something.

Not really what I am seeing in this months results, it seems to be PR, PR and PR this month.

Agreed, looks like PR is all you need. See my post #370 in September 2002 Google Update [webmasterworld.com]

I have noticed that keyword-rich domains may not help as much this time as before.

Its not pr here :(
Some sites with even a pr of 1-2 have beaten pr 5 and 6.

Most of them with hidden text, keyword rich one page sub domain and other spam.

It's not PR... I have two sites that are both PR6 and they're showing up on the 9th page of results, where as they used to be on the 1st and 2nd pages with the same PR. Heck, I WISH it was PR that was everything...

NO!
Take this from someone who doesn't post on message boards unless she signs up with a new user name everytime.

The Internet is losing content daily that is if any good content every existed. Information peaked around 1999 - 2000 and has been slowly declining, all that is on the net nowdays is repetitive or redundant info with more than ever spam sites popping up daily.

Pre 2000 would mean 1,000,000,000 pages of information
Post 2001 means 2,000,000,000 pages with more than half as spam.

If google could talk it would say "The Internet needs more content"!
