Consistently, Google is showing a refresh date to over 100 items (pages) in my shopping cart, BUT I have changed shopping carts and the pages have ben deleted from my site, yet they have been refreshed according to the SERPs at least 8 times this month. How does this occur?

Could it be that Google is looking at my old host?

If they are showing the old pages in the cache, then it would probably be a case of a dns cache being out of date.

How long ago did you change hosts?

It's been 2 weeks.
Maybe Google is looking at the IP address for the cache and hasn't updated to the new DNS.
It seems like it might be advantageous to leave the old host IP active for a few weeks until Google finds the new one. Otherwise, Google could delete all your pages, right?

I have the same problem, and I think you are right to keep the old site. See [webmasterworld.com...]

I don't ever look for DNS problems and I've seen some today all of a sudden without even looking.
