Pre-Update Question !

What improvements can i see?!

Hello all,

I believe this months google crawl is yet to start !?

Ok. This month I have build around 8 quality linkbaks from sites with PR value more than 5. Also My portal is successfully listed in DMOZ.

My site/portal currently has a PR5.
With the above mentioned improvements, what can i expect after this months google's crawl for my site?

After the update, the sort of improvements you can expect are...

1) Lower levels of nervous tension

2) Improved sleep quality

3) More mental capacity for thinking of things other than the update

Seriously though, I'd guess at PR5. And its a complete guess. Coz that's all anyone can do just now.

Depends, I have a site that only has links from 1 site which is pr 6. It comprises of eight links (1 from pr 6 and 7 from pr 5 pages) The pr of the site in question comes out at six. The site that links to it has a number of good pr 6 links and 1 good pr 7.
When I say good I mean from a site that has few outbound links. If the toolbar shows it has a good pr this may be estimated. Check other sites linked to by pages your interested in getting links from.
Make sure these links show up in Googles backlink check. I think your heading towards pr six but keep in mind links can take a little while to show up. Remember there's much more to it than page rank

Chrome Yellow's response is much better than mine but 1 thing to remember is, with links, they had to be in place when the linking site was crawled (not when your site was crawled) for them to show up in this update. Googlebot also had to find them (and this is not so simple always as, if they are on dynamic pages, you are dependent on the linking webmaster not making any errors that prevented Googlebot from following the links as there are some types Googlebot just won't follow).
Still, you should get a modest improvement and my best wishes as well.

Hopefully, i see some improvements and some increase in traffic from google.

Its actually a niche directory, which uses a php script.next month, I'll try tp optimise those pages..!

I have heard lots of them saying about optimising their pages for google, what exactly does that mean..is it having keywords, descriptions and other stuff, or building the relevant content.? or is it something totally different..?
