I've got about new 10 microsites that were added very quickly created mid Aug and where spotted around 2nd Sept and basically have been crawled fairly heavily everyday and also it updates the cache everydayish. After a slight lul over the weekend they are getting heavily crawled again today - sometimes four different googlebots at the same time.

Does this mean that we are near or far from an update given that I expected it over the weekend?

How much are others getting crawled?

n.b. my main site has a PR of 7 and the microsites aren't in Dmoz

I don't think it means anything. I host quite a few sites and whenever I think I see a trend with one site, I don't see it with the others.

I'd say that the link from your PR7 page is enough to provoke heavy, frequent spidering.
