search phrases and grammar characters

What affect do commas and hyphens and such have on phrases

Does anyone know how google's algo's handle , : . / - & "" ; and the like? For instance if my keyword is "googlebot" in contents(keywords) and on the page some where I have "googlebot, coming soon"
Will that be considered a different word than my keyword?

Likewise, would the sentance: "my google is huge, dogs for sale"
match the search phrase "huge dogs for sale"?

word1-word2 and word1.word2 work the same as "word1 word2". I'm not sure about the others.

word1, word2 in a page works just as word1 word2 I think.

In text on a page, yes it seems. in meta keywords, no.

I use alot of / in my html page titles and such and it picks them up fine...
