Googlebot crawling site

How long before my site is indexed

This question has probley been asked a thousand times but... Googlebot crawled my site between 01/07/02 and 07/07/02 then the following month between 05/08/02 and 11/08/02, my site is still not listed in google, is this normal? when do you think I will be listed? its been over 10 weeks since the first crawl and I am starting to worry.

And by the way its the 20/09/02 and googlebot has not yet been back!

The fact that your site has been crawled twice, although a good sign, is not per se a guarantee that it will be included in Google's index on the next update.

Some factors that might help your site get into Google's index faster:

number/quality of external links pointing to your site

overall quality (original content) of your site

a Yahoo! or ODP [dmoz.org] listing

an error-free robot.txt [searchengineworld.com]

(other equally important factors I'm probably missing...)
