Get Crawled Every Day...

(Not that I am complaining...)

I am just curious how often I can or should expect to get crawled. I see some posts from people taht say "I finally got crawled" or "I got deep crawled last night."

I usually get 1-3 different Googlebots a night (crawl4.googlebot.com, crawl5.googlebot.com, etc), doing 100-300 pages each. (To date this month, Google has popped off about 8,000 pages).

Is this normal? I guess I like it (Well, yes, I DO like it!), not too much of a strain, and it is rather flattering... but it is EVERY night!

Same for Scooter and FAST. AV comes every couple days, but DEFINITELY takes more in each shot (2 visites, 3000 files per).

Also, I am perplexed by PR.... I know PR0 is BAD... this site has a PR about in the middle (PR5?) but one interior page has a higher PR than that... is that PR 4 or 6? And is this normal?

One final question... in a given category in Directory Google, how is the order set for sites with identical PR's?

thanks!

Being spidered often is normal for sites with a higher PR.

PR goes from 0 - 10 with 10 being the highest. The higher PR on your interior page is most likely caused by a high PR link from outside of your site.

Not that I would personally know... because GoogleBot doesn't like my aftershave or something, and has yet to show me that kind of attention... but from what I've seen in these discussions is that kind of attention is fairly common. If it is too much, you are welcome to trade me domains :)
