why do sites get dropped, when there is no duplicate content?
One of my sites, amazed me last month, climbing to #1, after the 1st crawl.
The same site amazed me again this month, cause it's not even listed in google.
i have no duplicate content, and we're not dancing.
what's going on?
could this be something manual done bij google employee?
If you are not in the index, it's most likely that googlebot couldn't find your site during the last crawl. It really stinks but the best thing to do is wait. I had a site that's been #1 on a pretty competitive keyword for over a year get dropped for a month recently. Came back just like nothing had happened in the next update.
Good luck,

Yesterday allnight long, (almost) every of my domains was down.
My site(s) was not listed yesterday, in google, also not cached.
So after having a very bad night, and emailing the webhosting comp.
I wake up, I Go to Google. type in my keywords, and there i am! #1 with most again. With fresh tags on more then 1 domain.
Google is dooing really good!
ps. who sais js influences google is probably wrong.
i replaced about 200 links to javascript popup's(no pr for them).
and still i'm #1.
Getting droppped because your site is down during a crawl can really hurt, even though it can be for just one month - google is just too important a source of traffic :)
And also mailed that should be resolved by now. And it is.
I don't know why, but suddenly everything is indexed again in google, and the webhosting comp sais they changed servers.
Hope they do their job good now.
It hurts when (good visited) domains get a 404 error.
I know now (;
[added] hurt? no hurt here, i'm very pleased with G!
