If you look at Google's help wanted - they are clearly gearing up for war with Overture, a war that they hope to win as usual with "better personnel, better solutions, better everything." We are definitely not looking at the status quo - Google advertisers look like they're going to get a lot more customer service in future.

With the way they're hiring, maybe they'll have to go public sooner than later to afford the investments they're making in new people and new space.

Overture has a huge load of cash in the bank. They, too, have been spending it on interface improvements and staff, but heck, you know, they're not Google. They can't attract the same caliber of employees.
