If my front page rank is X:
then, the rank of subpages are:
Sub-pages: X-1
Sub-Sub-pages: X-2

and google doesn't go further than sub-sub pages. Is this correct?

This might be the case, if...

* All links from other sites point to the home page.
* You have a typical number of links on each page.
* The PageRank overall is low, so Google doesn't get past the sub-sub pages.

The first two aspects are typical, but Google follows more than two links deep in a lot of sites.
