I changed host on one of my hobby sites over a month ago but still googlebot goes to get the pages from the old server.

I was under the impression that googlebot updated it's DNS every two weeks or so, When I changed host on another site a while back it took about 3 weeks for googlebot to update it's DNS cache and crawl the new host.

Anyone else had any experiences with this ?
how long did it take for you ?

regards

Not me, I also just changed hosts on my hobby site on 26th July. Just days later GoogleBot was crawling my new webspace very nicely.

Inktomi, however, is still stupidly trying to crawl my old webspace more than a month later. Luckily for me I don't care about that very much.

I don't get this outdated DNS business on the search engines. Surely it makes much more sense to have the latest update to be crawled, especially if a search engine wants the most recent and up-to-date index possible.
