I have noticed our PR is not carrying all the way through our site. We are a new site that launched at the end of June. Our homepage went up to a PR4 on our second dance this month, however the internal pages fluctuate drastically in PR. Our site does dig pretty deep to get to the products. Our site is layed out like this:

We have broken our site into sections, one labeled Canon, Fuji, Minolta.
If you navigate to the Minolta section, you will see all cameras listed their. From this page you will then select and click on the model camera you have, then from their you will see all the sections for this camera - Leather cases, CF Cards, Batteries. You will then select which accessory you need, so lets say you need a case, you will then click on cases and see your selection of cases and then from this page select and click on which case you are interested in which will take you onto that product page where you can see the item and description and add it to your shopping cart.
The problem I am seeing is that each main brand section (i.e. the Minolta section is carrying a PR3 off of our homepage which has the PR of 4. As you then click off the Minolta section and click onto the model camera you have to view all the accessories for the model Minolta camera you have our PR is sometimes 3 as well but also sometimes a PR of 1. As you then click say on the batteries page our PR sinks and from their you have click on the specific battery you are interested in for your Minolta camera and these pages often carry a low PR of 1 or even no PR.
I am afraid maybe their are to many sections to click through and that the PR can not travel that far. I do like this layout to the site though because it allows us to easily use the plural forms of words as well as singular. We use plural for example in the section called cases and then on the product page us the term case. (thus if someone types in Minolta XPR-510 Cases, we are found by our section cases, if someone types in Minolta XPR-510 case we are then found by our actual product page)
I am thinking since our Homepage currently has a PR4 and the main brand sections have a PR3 (all of our footers on all pages through out the entire site have a link to the main brand sections) the PR flows well. But as you click deeper down the PR Fades.
I was thinking of putting on the homepage a mini "quick navigation chart" to the specific camera sections. Above the footers on our homepage I was going to list all the specific brands of cameras and then below each brand of camera list the models of camera with a hyperlink directly to the main section for that camera. I would keep the footers the same throughout the entire site like they are now linking to each brand section but in addition to that, on the homepage their would be a link directly to each model of camera directly. Then you would just need to click on the model camera you had off the homepage and then click on batteries which would show you all batteries and then click on which battery you wanted which would take you to that product page where you can buy it.
In essence, this would hopefully carry our homepage PR to that specific model camera page where you would still have to click through 3 times to land on the product page but still hopefully our PR would follow through our site alittle bit deeper.
Keep in mind we have about 90 hyperlinks that would go on our homepage if we were to link to each specific model, would that be to many links and dilute the PR? I am not certain if that could dilute the PR because it would need to travel through 90 hyperlinks off the homepage as well as the footers which would still be in place which link to all the main brand sections.
