Hope this does,nt sound to dumb, I,m new and learning this fascinating business.
I have a new site, I think is in google, typing in the URL in google tool bar it shows a PR2 but it is not showing up in search of www1-2-3 database listings of any keywords .I don,t understand. Also has cached an old page that shows a PR4.I changed this page over a mont ago. I am learning this business by trial and error (seems mostly error). Also google is picking up META descrip. tags. I dont use flash or frames two small images plenty of text.I understand if google cant find text it will do this? What gives? When is the best time to submit new pages to google. By that I mean does it mess up your ranking if you say add a page ever 3 or 4 days or correct index pages?
I know a site should be good when first submitted. But as I read this forum,my source of knowledge,I discover things that need changing.

Depending on the competitive nature of your keywords I think a PR2 is low. Your site is probably buried in the SERPs. Google updates once a month. Depending on your change it could take 2 months to see your changes. You should try and constantly add new pages that target new keywords. Let google find your pages. If one page is in it will find the rest.

Don't worry about starting off in the wrong direction. I did the same thing myself. Stick around and I think you will find a wealth of info. Try and get good quality inbound links from other sites within your theme. This will raise your rankings and your page rank. Remember good unique content is key.
