Ok, I'm new to this game, so I'm hoping some of you vets will impart some wisdom on me.

I understand the dance now (and I'm assuming that www2 and www3 are what ultimately become www in a couple more days).

We created our website on July 1st and this update (knock wood) we will place 2nd, 5th and 8th with our respective 3 keywords.

The times that I can get a pagerank on my site (it comes and goes during the dance) it seems that it will be a PR5. Is this unusual? By seeking PR5 and higher for link swaps, am I doin the right thing or should I look for higher than that even?

Sorry to sound so green (but I really am)

Sounds like your doing good. As far as your question you can look at any level you like for links. Just look out for PR0's that seem to be due to bad linking on their part. Not all PR0's are bad though. As far as higher shoot yeah if you can find a PR8 to link you your doing great!

Thanks for the encouragement.

So, even getting a PR2 or PR4 to link will ultimately help my PR continue to rise?

Thanks again,

Don

Yes they will just not as much as a higher PR site. The way I look at it is dont worry about their PR as long as it doesnt look back. Just make sure its on topic. Dont go jumping in random FFA sites.

OK...advice taken and appreciated....another question....is it a good idea to change the keywords on my buried pages so that they reflect THAT particular page or should the descriptions and keywords be more in line with my homepage....or does it really matter? I'd like some of the deeper pages to carry their own weight and be found for people with specific searches.

Thanks,

Don

I would say (and this I am not sure on) that the keywords and such should fit the page they are on. How different are the deeper pages? If your main page is about widgets and these pages are about sprockets then maybe you should try and spawn that off to a second site?
