Will google like domain.com/_content or domain.com/_content.html ?

What is best at url end? .html or just "...com/content"?

I can put whatever I want at the end of a url, .html, .htm, .asp, .webmasterworldisamazing, or nothing at all.

Right all my pages are set to domain.com/_content. (They used to be "index.asp?page=", we replaced all that with "_") Will engines prefer that I suffix all these pages which look like directories now with a .html, .htm, .asp, or leave them look like directories?

I get the feeling google may reward the pages if they are left looking like directories, but other engines may not crawl the pages at all.

Summary.
1. Leave nothing at end of url, or put .html?

2. Do you think "-" would have better than "_"? I know anything is better than "index.asp?page="

Thanks everyone.

After you replace
"http://domain.com/index.asp?page=content"
with
"http://domain.com/_content"
(notice the "index.asp?page=" has been replaced with a "_"

Would it me better to leave it:
/_content
or
/_content.html

I don't think it'll matter. You need to watch though for people typing the URLs, some type /url and some type /url/

Some preliminary research shows that even "cgi-bin" in the URL can make Google slightly less likely to spider, but the main problem is the ? character.
