Good position in .co.uk, bad in .com

I have another question...

I am ranked #3 in google.co.uk for my main keyword but #70 in google.com

I would love to be ranked higher in google.com as well but the keyword is a trademark of a large software corporation and so the majority of the 69 posts ahead of mine are from their site, which a lot of are linked to each other giving a large number of backward links (more than I could hope to compete with in this market...)

Are their any other ways that anyone can suggest to boost my position in the main index?...

I was and still am Numero 1 in .co.uk

But last month on .com we were showing at #70 , this update I am seeing us at #23 (still not really anygood to get volume traffic considering there are over 3,500,000 results for the specific keyword)

I shall keep trying, but have found the following is helping along the way.

1, Inbound Links from quality pages.
2, Relevant Content
3, Interlinking strategy
4, Sitemap

Basic SEO stuff, its at this stage SEO stops becoming a bit of fun and turns into a full time Mission :)

Good Luck

Thanks Shak

What exactly do you mean by interlinking strategy?...

Interlinking = internal relevant pages linking to other relevant pages within your site.
