Outgoing links on main page or subpages

Which is best for PR?

I have all of my outbound links on my top page (pr=5). Would the pr of my top page increase or stay the same if I moved the outgoing/partner links to a subpage that has a lower pr?

Thanks

crobb305, it might depend on the site whether or not the outbound links need to be on the homepage for different reasons. For some sites they might need to be there, but unless it's a necessity I'd covet that index page for links for within my own site.

Most, if not all for some sites, inbound links point to the homepage, so it'll have the highest Page Rank. Linking out to other sites decreases the amount of PR given to the interior pages of the site, which can negatively affect rankings for those other pages of the site that may have the potential for bringing in visitors on specific, very targeted keywords.

Moving those links to a sub-page won't increase the PR of the homepage, that depends on the pages linking to it. It's the rest of the site that might benefit.
