please forgive me for those members that have seen this post before.

I would like to know if I can do anything to speed up the process of having google index my site. I have been
online for the past four weeks, I still see no sign of my site? Also, that robots.txt file, is that required for
googlebot to search my site or will it index my site without the file?

There is nothing you can do to speed up the process of getting spidered and indexed by Google.
4 weeks is the MINIMUM you should even hope to wait.
Realistically, I still tell clients between 2-3 months to see anything significant from any search engine. I've been saying that for 3 years, and it still holds true today. (unless of course, you use a PPC campaign...)

Expect to see your site in the index by this time next month.

fashezee,
You might try to submit your site to ODP - that seems to have helped me a few months back.

If you are really desperate for hits, join google's ppc Adwords, or Overture. Otherwise, keep building those links, a great recommend I've heard lately is, type "subject of your site" & "add link" or "add url" into a search engine, and join all the sites that have a decent PR and you can tell are not spam. Google will eventually catch up to you if you build a quaility site. Patience young grasshoper.
