Sorry about posting a stupid question for most of you. I know that PR is an abbreviation of page rank but can you please tell me how exactly do I find it for a given page/site.

Google has a bar - but it doesn't have any numbers, as far as I understand it a higher value is better - probably longer bar.

Hi martin,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld.
Did you read paynt's welcome post [webmasterworld.com]? Nice way to get started here.

The Google bar [toolbar.google.com] is a free program available from Google.

If you use a recent version of Me$sIE on a Widows PC you can install it and view Google's Page Rank. If you bring your cursor over the green bar, some clues are supposed to appear.

Please dont miss those threads.

Thanks, really. Is there something similar to the toolbar for Opera 6 Linux (or probably mozilla/Konqueror). I'm not much of a Windows guy.

martin: unfortunately there's no Google Toolbar available for anything except IE on Windows - ie, not for Macs, or for any browse that will run under Linux.

There's a project to develop a toolbar for Mozilla, but that doesn't support the PageRank display.
